"In these days, it is doubtful that any child may reasonably be
expected to succeed in life if he is denied the opportunity of an
education."
Staff Information
This site contains all the general information pertinant to the ELJ staff members. Please refer to the left-hand side navigation links for other ELJ information.
Second and third-year law students who are invited to join the BYU Education and Law Journal staff through the ELJ Write-on competition earn one credit toward graduation for each semester of participation. This requires a minimum contribution of 50 hours of editing per semester, as well as writing a case note. Some students elect to use their case note for the substantial writing requirement.
Additionally, the ELJ is the only BYU journal that offers second-year students Senior Editor leadership positions based on their write-on competition performance. Senior editors manage associates editors and gain valuable editing experience; and are automatically eligible for future leadership positions on the journal.
We look forward to welcoming many of you to our staff next year.
